Shardul Thakur is a right-arm fast-medium bowler and lower-order batsman who has been making waves in the Indian cricket scene. Born on October 16, 1991, in Maharashtra, Thakur made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2012-13 season.
Thakur was part of the Indian Under-19 team that won the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his List A debut for Mumbai in the same year. In the 2015-16 season, he was the highest wicket-taker for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy, with 41 wickets in 10 matches.
